It truly feels like spring now as Rosie and Logan have officially had their first baseball games (so proud of both of them; Logan was awarded the most Christ like award and Rosie got Best Offense!)and we saw the local minor league team play this afternoon. Over Spring break we went to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia and had a great time, despite losing Logan several times! Logan has been loving springtime with all the baby birds and flowers and his latest find, a salamander (even though it escaped its first night outside our house.) We managed to go camping last weekend at Stone Mountain outside Atlanta and had a great time celebrating TJs 2nd birthday (despite the night time chill of 33 degrees and high winds!) Rosie had a great 9th birthday on Friday complete with having two friends over after school, a trip to the pottery store to paint and an attempted sleepover. I say attempted because her friend missed Mom and went home at 10pm but they had fun until then! Thomas is officially talking now - complete with shouting 'Alleluia' in the middle of church, and enjoys following his older sister Pearl around and copying everything he hears. It's kind of like having a parrot in the house. Pearl is spouting Spanish numbers as well as her unending list of jingles and is probably ready for me to get creative and teach her some sight words. Kris and I continue to exist amidst the chaos of our lives, and most of the time, we love it!

Spring Break camping trip to Stone Mountain and this mile one of our 3-mile trek. Nice easy loop around the island.
At the summit, 800ft elevation change over 1-mile trek on an exposed granite mountain. Pretty awesome!

We maybe over-exposed our new baseball players on the sport this weekend as after church we took them to an Augusta Green Jackets, a minor league ball game. The kids were allowed on the field to play catch before the game...
Then, they were selected to shout "Play Ball" to start the game right.
In line with the team singing the National Anthem, a pretty neat moment, I thought!
